1. INDEPENDENT RETAILER DISCLOSURE & WARRANTY NOTICE Tech Outpost LLC is an independent, third-party reseller of premium electronics, including pre-manufactured OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) laptops, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an authorized dealer for third-party manufacturers (e.g., Gigabyte, Asus, MSI).
Manufacturer Warranties: Because Tech Outpost LLC is an independent reseller, the original manufacturer’s warranty may be void or inapplicable to OEM laptops and components. Tech Outpost LLC assumes no liability for denied warranty claims by the original manufacturer.
The Tech Outpost Guarantee: To ensure our customers are fully protected, Tech Outpost LLC provides its own comprehensive 1-Year Limited Warranty on all systems sold, as detailed below.
2. WARRANTY COVERAGE Tech Outpost LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Tech Outpost”), warrants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) that the computer system (“System”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original delivery (“Warranty Period”).
This Limited Warranty expressly covers the following three System categories:
OEM Laptops: Pre-manufactured, third-party mobile computer systems sold by Tech Outpost. Coverage applies to the integrated mobile system and its internal components as originally sold.
Tech Outpost Prebuilt PCs: Standardized desktop computer systems assembled by Tech Outpost. Coverage applies to the core internal components (CPU, Motherboard, RAM, GPU, Storage, Power Supply, Case, and internal Cooling Systems).
Tech Outpost Custom PCs: Bespoke desktop computer systems custom-assembled to the Customer’s requested specifications. Coverage applies to the internal hardware components installed by Tech Outpost.
3. WARRANTY TERMS & REMEDIES
Duration: The Warranty Period lasts for one (1) year from the date of original delivery.
Exclusive Remedy: If a covered System or component is found to be defective in material or workmanship during the Warranty Period, Tech Outpost will, at its sole and absolute discretion, (a) repair the defective part, (b) replace the defective part or System with a new or refurbished equivalent, or (c) issue a prorated refund based on the current market value of the System.
Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA): To obtain warranty service, the Customer must contact Tech Outpost at Support@tech-outpost.com to obtain an RMA number. The Customer must return the defective System or part to Tech Outpost with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the packaging.
Shipping: The Customer is responsible for safely packaging and shipping the defective System to Tech Outpost. Tech Outpost will pay for standard return shipping of the repaired or replaced System to the Customer within the contiguous United States.
4. EXCLUSIONS & LIMITATIONS This Limited Warranty strictly does not cover:
Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, or acts of God.
Damage caused by improper user installation of components, unauthorized modifications, or improper third-party repairs. (Note: Merely opening the chassis of a System for routine maintenance or authorized upgrades does not void this warranty; however, any physical, structural, or electrical damage caused by the Customer during such activities is strictly excluded).
Damage caused by using the System in a manner not in accordance with user manuals, or with incompatible/defective third-party hardware or software.
Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or depletion of consumable parts (e.g., laptop batteries dropping below maximum original capacity over time).
Damage caused by overclocking, over-volting, or modifying the thermal/voltage limits of the CPU, GPU, or RAM beyond manufacturer-recommended specifications.
Damage caused by environmental contaminants, including failure to provide adequate ventilation, liquid spills, or operating in environments with excessive dust, humidity, or smoke.
5. LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES & LIABILITY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE ONE (1) YEAR TERM OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. Tech Outpost’s total liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective System. Under no circumstances shall Tech Outpost be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of use, loss of revenue, or loss of profits. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental/consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
6. RETURN POLICY Customer satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return within twenty-one (21) calendar days of the later of: (a) the date of contract signing (for purchases made through financing) or the date of purchase (for all other payment methods), or (b) the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:
Eligibility: Returns are accepted for OEM Laptops and Tech Outpost Prebuilt PCs. Returned items must be in like-new condition, free from physical damage, and include all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and documentation.
Non-Refundable Deposit: For purchases made through financing, the initial deposit paid at contract signing is non-refundable if the Customer cancels the order prior to delivery of the System. This deposit is not affected by, and does not reduce, a Customer’s right to a refund under a valid return made after delivery pursuant to this Section 6; in that event, the deposit is treated as part of the purchase price and refunded subject to the same restocking and shipping terms as the remainder of the return.
Custom PC Exclusion: Due to the highly specialized nature of the parts and labor, Tech Outpost Custom PCs (built-to-order based on customer specifications) are final sale and are not eligible for standard returns or refunds. Custom PCs are strictly supported via the 1-Year Limited Warranty for hardware defects.
Restocking Fees: All non-defective returns of OEM Laptops and Prebuilt PCs are subject to a mandatory restocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price. Systems returned missing original packaging, accessories, or showing signs of use may incur higher deductions or be rejected entirely.
Return Process: Contact Support@tech-outpost.com or call (469) 577-0018 to obtain an RMA number. Systems returned without an authorized RMA will be refused. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to a direct error by Tech Outpost (e.g., incorrect item shipped, dead on arrival).
Refunds: Tech Outpost will complete its internal inspection for damage, tampering, or overclocking within five (5) business days of receiving the returned System. If the System passes inspection, a refund (minus applicable restocking and original shipping fees) will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of the inspection’s completion. If the System fails inspection, Tech Outpost will notify the Customer in writing of the specific basis for the denial, including photographic documentation, within that same five (5) business day period.
7. GOVERNING LAW This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
